The staff are always helpful and friendly when I drop in to fill my small CO2 tannk.8/20/2022 Update - I dropped in Friday night 15 minutes before closing to find that their point of sale system was down. Instead of turning me away, they offered to fill up my 5lb tank and let me pay over the phone on Monday. Unfortunately something was wonky with the CO2 station she was only able to fill the tank to about 75%. So... she gives it to me on the house. Unbelievable.

Dan Denver: I'm new to the area and haven't found a local homebrew store yet. Atlantic shows up on Google maps, but is incredibly hard to find in reality. (It's up the steps by the canopy. There's no sign.) In Colorado, I was used to a virtual 7-11 style store with products lining the aisles. In ABS, I found a shelf in the center of a large room with a few random things on it. It was a bit odd, really. The only employees present were busy interviewing someone, so there may have been more to the place (in the back?) but I didn't have time to waste. The specific item I was looking for was not available. I ordered it on Amazon, but I would rather have purchased it from a local store. Looking over the other reviews, here, I feel like I must have missed something, but I live out in the country and don't get a lot of time to shop in the big city. For now, I'll have to source elsewhere.
M Roll: I was up at the location on Friday . The older blonde lady that was working was using every 4 letter word in the book talking to me and another guest inside. I had my 2 and 3 year olds with me. I’ve been a customer since 2012. Because of this I’m not sure I will be back or recommend this store anymore.Update 21 June …. I talked with manager he said he addressed the situation. I appreciate his honesty. Nothing against the employees or ABS I just want to continue enjoying a family friendly environment that I’ve know for over 10 years.
J W: Great place for brew supplies. You can order your ingredients online and pick it up pre-crushed usually within a couple hours. Prices are great and the selection is the best I’ve ever seen from a LHBS.Some downsides. They have a reward system where you get store credit after spending enough, but your online account isn’t linked to your store lookup so any amount you purchase for store pickup is wasted and won’t be applied to the total you need for the reward.Also, their in store prices are never updated and sometimes are wildly different from their website. It’s always an ordeal trying to convince them to honor the posted price. The storefront isn’t that big, so it’s not asking too much for them to keep up on pricing.Finally, I don’t really trust them for assembling ingredients for important brews. I’ve was given incorrect base malt with an order recently and it totally changed the flavor of a recipe that I’ve brewed many times, which was especially impactful since it was a competition brew. I feel like I need to just buy my malts separately bagged and crush them myself now, which in hindsight was probably something I should have been doing regardless.

David Kress: The staff is awesome. They know what to show you if you’re looking for a specific style of beer. Very helpful. I highly recommend this place. If you haven’t been there, and don’t like Bud Light or whatever than this is the place to be. The only thing I don’t like is the charge they add if you drink your beer there. Loyal customers go there. They should use a punch card system or something so you’re not paying extra just to hang out. That’s my only complaint. And again - the staff is excellent at their jobs and very friendly. They even remember their customers names. Too bad other businesses don’t do the same.

Jordan Lindsey: Huge selection of microbrewery beers. Not cheap. Most of them are pints, and one will range from maybe 3 to 7 dollars. You get what you pay for though. I grabbed two different IPA pints. They were very, very good. Only docking one star because the gentleman who served us seemed disinterested and bored to tears. Sucks but getting that vibe from a bartender can drive someone away. All in all, it’s a very cool place. I would suggest you check it out for yourself 😌

All three drinks were good but not great.We would’ve left five stars for atmosphere because it was such a great space, but we struggled with gnats horribly bad. Phil Geary: I like this place way better than Sir Walter if I were to compare just those two places. The espresso is much better and the internet needs a password, and not the rigmarole of getting a receipt and entering a bunch of info for a limited time of internet at Sir Walter. The vibe is way quieter, too. Wifi is strong! Nice food choices, too! Thanks!

Cristina Hurley: Love this place! They have great coffee and seasonal teas and other specialty beverages. It's a great space to work in the light-filled shop or their great outdoor seating area. The owner is so incredibly nice and this is one of my favorite places to support.
Sorenroy: 42 & Lawrence is excellently located, quiet and friendly, and has a good selection of items that come at a fair price. Located less than a block from the main Raleigh bus terminal, it’s an easy recommendation to anyone arriving early or waiting for a transfer between lines. If that wasn’t enough, the Moore Square park offers excellent views from both inside the store and the patio space outside. Fast service in a clean space that never feels overcrowded - along with a commitment to sustainability - are the cherries on the cake that is this excellent store.
Wajeha Barakat: I love everything about this place. Locally owned by a sweet lady who is always here. Uniquely crafted lattes that you won't find anywhere else, lots of windows, stable wifi, and delicious pastries. They source Larry's beans which are delicious and a nice change from counter culture that most coffee shops in the area source.

jesse proctor: Modern, bright and cozy atmosphere. Friendly owner and staff. Very out of balance lattes made with good ingredients (I believe the barista that served me was training so you may have a different experience). Pastries were too stale to determine their quality. But lamination looked good and they weren’t overly sweet. With a handful of great lattes in Raleigh I would not chose to spend my money here.
