The money, despite the overbook, was collected and to this day, it was on April 1, has not been released. So many things are damaged, the room smells terrible, and there is a plywood makeshift shelf in the bathroom. I’m actually thinking about asking for a refund even tho I know it’ll be a headache. Lord Zebra: This hotel is actively undergoing renovations, so it is understandable that not everything is up to it's full potential. I am in no way slandering this establishment, it's owners operators or associates, I am simply giving my personal opinion formulated from my individual experience with the services of the establishment and staff therein.The room was a bit small, upon entering my room, it was uncomfortably humid, the AC unit I felt was not up to par. The filter was extremely dirty, the t.v. did not come with a working remote, the appliances offered in room are a mini fridge and microwave both worked fine. But those are the only 2 appliances in the room. They do not offer much when it comes to personal hygiene, a bar soap and one bottle of body wash, no shampoo, conditioner, body lotion or oral hygiene is in the room. I was a bit standoffish about the bathroom, as it appeared to me not as clean as it could have been. The shower did work but not as well as I would have liked, a lot of calcium build up on the shower head, the bathtub drain appeared to not even drain any water, there was 2/3 of a roll of toilet paper, the towels and washcloths looked dingey and stained, nonetheless I did not utilize the shower the 2 days I was there. I was not offered any kind of house keeping, there were no wastebaskets in my room. My room did not include an ice bucket and also was not able to locate an operational ice machine out of the 3 on site. Upon exiting my room, I was double checking to make sure I didn't leave any belongings behind so naturally I looked under the bed, and discovered a small but unacceptable amount of garbage underneath the bed I assume left by the last guest. The bed was comfortable, and aside from a lot of things I personally didn't approve of, the little interaction I had with the front desk clerk was nice. He seemed to care about what I thought and what feedback I had to give, I felt like he cared about my experience with my stay, but I also feel he put little effort in assuring a satisfactory stay. If you are just looking for shelter for the night or a place to escape for the day this is exactly that. Though there are few amenities, it was an okay stay. I recommend if you are going to stay here bring your own hygienic products and prepare to do a small amount of cleaning. this by far is not the worst hotel I've stayed in, you can tell with the on going renovations they are trying to do their best in accommodating their guests. I suggest they find more experienced housekeepers and possibly a manager with more experience in the hotel business as well. I'm not trying to steer any potential guest from renting a room here by any means, but I personally will most likely not be seeking the services of this Hotel in the future.

Benjamin: Reasonably priced hotel that made for a comfortable stay overnight. The deduction of one star is just because there was a bad smell when entering the room initially. It faded after a little while but it’s just not the first impression you want of a place you’ll be staying in. The room was clean though and the staff friendly; everything worked. My suggestion would be go a little heavier on the air fresheners! 😊

Tommy Jordan: I'm doing some work on a new hotel in the area, and this particular hotel is very close to my job site. We tried some other hotels and eventually kept coming back to this one. The staff are very helpful. The hotel has been somewhat updated to be a little more modern. The rooms are clean and the hotel doesn't smell musty. They have truck and trailer parking which is great because I travel with the work trailer! There's a Ruby Tuesday's across the street. There's a gas station and a subway across the street. The location is really perfect for all the common amenities of traveler would need. I highly recommend this hotel if you're looking for a decent two-star or three-star.

Deception: The room was okay but rather small and tight, especially the bathroom. There was a fridge, microwave, and good sized beds for one adult. They were soft and plush, perfect from a longs drives rest. Me and my family were about to sleep when a cockroach decided to present itself right where our heads were placed on the pillows. After trashing the room to kill the creature (sorry for any shoe prints left on the walls housekeepers), we thought it was over, when another seemingly spawned on the wall. We couldn't get a new room because it was booked for the graduations taking place, so our options were to sleep in the roach infested room or in the humid car.I'd love to give this place negative star for the trauma we endured, but alas...I can not. Hotel is newer, rooms were clean, no gross rugs or mildew in the shower…soap, lotion, shower gel is on the wall and I appreciated no tiny bottles everywhere. Dogs are welcome and the Hampton Inn across the parking lot allows you to use their outdoor pool as a guest of Tru. Service was absolutely amazing including the front desk person from LI and the other person with green hair (wish I’d gotten your names—sorry!). Breakfast was delicious, clean—the grits were smooth with no lumps and the attendant patiently taught me how to season them well. Yup, it’s the little things—and this place did it well. Would stay here again..

Heard trucks and cars passing all night long. Sounded like we were sleeping on the highway. The fridge and AC noises combined made it the worst night sleeping on vacation. Imelda Egg: After a ten hour drive, we entered our room looking to a relaxed evening only to be welcomed by the thump-thump-thumping from the room above ours…courtesy of two 9-10 year olds (saw them later running in the lobby). I would suggest that families with young children be assigned rooms on the 1st floor and not subject other guests to a less than comfortable stay. Disappointed!
